Boombow (noun): a borderless intercourse between East Coast boom bap hip-hop and Caribbean dembow.
Fusing classic Latin and hip-hop sounds, Toma2os grinds between the poetics of the political and perreo. Inspired by the Turntable Annihilists and Tony Toca, El Necio AKA DJ Crooked got his first pair of turntables at 16 after working at Del Taco and has been mixing and producing ever since. Patas Arriba is a veteran of the Salt Lake City poetry slam scene and is widely published across the print and web pages. His rap style is equally influenced by the likes of Immortal Technique, Chocolate Remix, and Natalie Diaz. Based in the 801, their ancestors are the Maya-Nawat-Lenca of Kuskatan.
